Gabe is a systems thinker and a creative force. He sees building as a soulful practice, nourished by the aesthetic results. Whether cutting rafters, designing a kitchen, or instructing a crew, he uses his expertise to merge detail and design with intention and care. This practice produces a finished product that is subtle yet satisfying.

At 12, under the tutelage of his father, a successful contractor, he started building. Sweeping, stacking, and digging, became cutting, fastening, and finishing. This formative time instilled a deep love and curiosity for the blend of thought and physicality it takes to be a builder. This led him to study fine woodworking in the lineage of James Krenov at The Krenov School. With this education he learned what the highest level of finish is.

His dedication to living an inspired life is evident in the adventures he takes. From hiking the entire length of the Pacific Coast Trail, to winning an 8-hour mountain bike race, to plunging off a waterfall in a kayak, he believes in rich experiences.
